Tau Phi Beta is one of two local fraternities left at Montclair State University and is both a social and philanthropic fraternity. We participate in Greek Week, Homecoming, fundraisers, as well as on and off campus events. Being local forces the brothers to take responsibility for the fraternities destiny and future. This allows for every brother to become a leader and our founders exemplified leadership in the classroom, on the athletic field, in campus politics and within the community of Montclair.
Leadership is the very root of our organization, and it is the concept of leadership that shall guide us to our future. The Bulls run their pledge program in order to teach its members to only respect those who give respect. Another reason The Fun Bunch keeps its numbers low is to fully ensure that each brother knows each other.
The brothers pride themselves on being leaders of the campus leaders, always taking the next step to better themselves.
The brothers of Tau Phi Beta are known as the Bulls, as well as The Fun Bunch. Tau Phi Beta was founded by a group of business majors. Since the stock market is also termed the "Bull" market, the name fit.
The Fun Bunch is an acronym for the Greek letters Tau Phi Beta.
